June 6, 2010: The Parliament passed the Tobacco Control Bill by a majority vote last week, making Bhutan the only country in the world to pass two bills to stub out tobacco sale and consumption in a span of just six years. The first ban on tobacco introduced in December 17, 2004 made international headlines across the world.
