August 1, 2010:  Eighteen year old Yeshi Wangmo travelled to Thimphu from her hometown in Trashiyangtse looking for a decent job. These days, every evening she wears a uniform and a lot of make up to entertain a crowd on a drinking binge – that is her job. She smiles at her customers and coaxes them for a song request. The customers wouldn’t give in easily though, not until there has been some lascivious verbal exchange or physical fondling.

August 1, 2010: Cottage and small industries (CSI), which comprises almost 98% of the economy, in rural areas will address rural-urban migration, poverty reduction, improve the economy of rural people, provide employment to rural youth and promote skills and experience of rural people.
