But behind this facade, there is more to what meets the eye finds out Bhutan Times reporter Tshering choden August 1, 2010: Eighteen year old Yeshi Wangmo travelled to Thimphu from her hometown in Trashiyangtse looking for a decent job. These days, every evening she wears a uniform and a lot of make up to entertain a crowd on a drinking binge – that is her job. She smiles at her customers and coaxes them for a song request. The customers wouldn’t give in easily though, not until there has been some lascivious verbal exchange or physical fondling. |

August 1, 2010: Cottage and small industries (CSI), which comprises almost 98% of the economy, in rural areas will address rural-urban migration, poverty reduction, improve the economy of rural people, provide employment to rural youth and promote skills and experience of rural people. That is at least what CSIs are expected to do.
